Transform Your Landscape & Nature Photography with a Revolutionary Group Workshop Experience
Maybe you have been meaning to spend more time with your camera. You know the landscapes are out there: the light, the stillness, and the quiet invitation to slow down and really see the beauty. But something keeps getting in the way.
Perhaps it is confidence. Perhaps you become overwhelmed trying to decide where to go, or who to learn from, or you get stuck in your head, comparing yourself to others, and wondering whether your images are any good. Perhaps you need permission to spend a whole day giving to yourself and your creativity.
Or perhaps you have been photographing for years, and you are trying to be more creative or looking for something your usual routine cannot provide: a different way of seeing, an honest conversation about why you make photographs, and time in a landscape that asks you to be completely engaged and present rather than scattered and productive.
Wherever you are on your journey, there’s a workshop experience designed specifically for you. If you care about your photography enough to give it a full, unhurried day in the company of a small group of like-minded people, you belong here.
If you’d like help deciding on the best option for you, you can book a FREE 15-minute advice call

“This was a workshop with a difference. I was hoping the day would lift my images to the next level, and with Brad’s help, I feel I achieved that. Nothing to do with the equipment or camera operation, but everything to do with mindset, slowing down, and allowing oneself to become tuned in to the surroundings. I now see how important it is to be present in the moment, not to rush, and to let images present themselves to you. A very enjoyable and productive experience.’’

Understand My Creative Approach to Photography
Join Me for a Virtual Workshop
In this short video, I take you on a scouting mission into the heart of Eryri (Snowdonia). It will give you a feel for the landscapes we explore, the pace of the day, and the way I approach photography as something far more than a technical exercise.
See it for yourself on my Spirit of Snowdonia | The Silent Waters workshop.

What Makes These Workshops Different?
-
My aim is not to guide a group to the same spot I once stood and tell everyone which settings to use. These days are designed to get you thinking like you and seeing in a way that only you can. There is space for open, honest, thought-provoking conversation about light, life, and landscape, alongside practical guidance that meets you wherever you are.
-
Although there is time to focus on the basics (especially on Foundations workshops), I commit much of my focus towards the more spiritual, emotional, and psychological side of the art. There is as much time spent exploring the inner landscapes through conversation as there is creating photographs. I hope to inspire a new breed of photographers who are, perhaps, more conscious of their creative ‘why’ as well as their own place here on Earth: as human beings that are a part of Nature and not separate from it.
If you’re interested in the more psychological, philosophical, and spiritual aspects of photography, you’ll enjoy my Five Pillars workshops, where we’ll dive deep into my Five Pillars of Meaningful Landscape Photography™ framework.

I usually keep groups small so that every person receives genuine, individual guidance. These workshops are intimate, warm, encouraging, and often quietly transformative. Bring your camera, your curiosity, and your willingness to be surprised by what you discover from me and a group of like-minded attendees.

There is as much time spent slowing down and truly looking as there is creating photographs. My Five Pillars of Meaningful Landscape Photography™ framework underpins everything I teach — Connection, Intention, Observation, Attention, and Reflection. These are not rules to follow. They are invitations to a more conscious, purposeful way of working with your camera. If you want to dive deeper, join a Five Pillars workshop.

“What an amazing workshop. I’ve visited the area on numerous occasions, but I have never taken in all of its beauty. Brad’s style of tuition is that of a teacher, if required, but more importantly as a coach, making you think, ‘Why am I taking this photo?’ ‘How can I improve it?’ I came away from the day knowing more about my camera, but the biggest takeaway was the realisation that photography really does make you stop, look, and consider your surroundings. Thanks to Brad, I’m itching to get back out in the great outdoors with my camera and look out for more photographic opportunities.’’

Photography can be so much more than just a hobby. For me, it has been a form of therapy; it has increased my self-awareness & understanding and helped me connect more deeply to the planet that I call home, as well as everyone in it. I know that it can become something similar for you, too, if you would like it to. During these workshop experiences, I will impart some of my wider philosophies and guide you to the intersection where landscape photography meets personal development.

About Me, Brad Carr
I’m Brad Carr, an internationally published landscape photographer, writer, and creative mentor based in Mid Wales. My photographs of Wales’ ancient woodlands, mountain lakes, and timeless landscapes have featured in On Landscape, Outdoor Photography, Nature Vision, and International Therapist. My Finding Light exhibition was viewed by an estimated 20,000 people at Plas Glyn y Weddw in 2025.
My journey with photography began in 2018 during a period of personal transition. What started as a walk to a waterfall with a camera became a practice that changed my life — leading to deep healing, a sense of purpose, and work I am genuinely proud of. That lived experience shapes every workshop I lead.
I am a patient, compassionate teacher who communicates in a way that reaches all levels and abilities. I much prefer to let you experiment and discover your own creativity whilst I offer guidance, pose questions, and share insights from my own creative journey to help you develop your own voice and vision.

‘‘Brad’s style of teaching is that of a coach that wants to help you get the best out of your own vision and art. This is not about telling you what to do, it is about asking you to think about why you are taking that particular picture and how you might improve it. This is for those who really want to take their photography to a new level of meaning and thinking. It made me realise that the most important part of the experience is to be out in nature and to try and use my photography to share the benefits of how this makes me feel.’’

“I had a great day with Brad at Rhiwagor waterfall. Brad challenges you both as an individual and as a group, making you reflect on your photographic style and approach as well as offering technical tips on technique and composition. Importantly, you get plenty of time to slow down and really consider what you are trying to get out of each photograph. Brad is not just about the photography, but uses this as a medium to think wider and consider your own journey and philosophy. Beautiful scenery, something new around each corner. Highly recommended.’’
