Brad Carr

Brad Carr is an internationally recognised landscape photographer, author, and transformational creative mentor whose work has reached tens of thousands of people across multiple platforms, including his website, Instagram, LinkedIn, Substack, and leading podcasts such as The Photowalk and F-Stop, Collaborate & Listen.

His creative essays and mystical photographs of the Welsh landscape have been published in leading photography magazines, and his solo Finding Light exhibition in the prestigious Welsh gallery, Plas Glyn y Weddw, was viewed by an estimated 20,000 people. He is the author of two published works, with a third, his debut photobook, Finding Light, set to be released in 2026. He is also the creator of the Five Pillars of Meaningful Landscape Photography™, a revolutionary framework designed to help other landscape photographers create meaningful art instead of ‘capturing’ photos.

Through his unique approach to practical photography tuition and mentoring, Brad has already guided over 100 landscape photographers on transformative journeys into the landscapes outside and within on their quests to create authentic imagery that reflects who they are at the core. This revolutionary teaching approach—built around deep listening, non-judgment, curiosity, intelligent Socratic questioning, and grounded presence—simplifies complex, technical principles of landscape photography, so students can dive deeper into the spiritual aspects of creative practice to achieve extraordinary personal growth, build confidence, unearth their creative voice, and develop powerful skills for authentic, soulful self-expression.

Brad’s creative philosophies offer something desperately needed in today’s too-often divided world:
A pathway for anyone to achieve personal transformation and healing, pursue the authentic expression of oneself, release trapped energy from the body and psyche, and retrieve and integrate lost parts of the soul to achieve wholeness and embodiment through transformative journeys into the landscapes both outside and within.

Brad’s personal journey of healing and transformation through the fires of creative practice began in 2017 when, following the pain of his first heartbreak, he ventured into a gym and built four-and-a-half stone of muscle; his pain being his source of fuel. He began documenting his transformative journey on Instagram using his mobile phone, kickstarting his storytelling journey, before picking up his sister’s DSLR camera out of curiosity and walking to a nearby waterfall. This journey into the natural world opened his heart to a world of pain which existed inside as a result of a childhood overshadowed by episodes of domestic abuse, and so began what will be a lifelong journey to transmute pain into creative power and profound purpose.

Today, Brad shares his Five Pillars philosophy and facilitates space for others to achieve personal growth and healing by leading transformative creative retreats, group artistic development workshops, private 1-1 tuition, and revolutionary 1-1 & intimate group mentoring programmes. His mentoring services have been trusted by prestigious organisations such as the Royal Photographic Society, and he regularly leads his artistic development workshops for camera clubs across the UK, both of which receive exceptional feedback from attendees.

With a rapidly growing international audience, a body of compelling fine art landscape photography that continues to evolve, and a series of powerful, introspective creative essays, Brad Carr burns bright like a beacon atop a hill in a dark landscape, and his creative mission is clear:
To expand human consciousness and deepen relationships by educating, inspiring, and empowering millions of people to access their creative potential and embody the courage required to live in this world as their authentic selves.
