This work represents the first chapter of my creative journey. It was a profound period of my life: a healing one, a transformative one, and a foundational one for a lifetime of creative work to come. I stood on the threshold of my masculinity, confused about what it meant to be a man following over a decade of violence and abuse that overshadowed my childhood years, lacking in purpose and direction, and desperately searching for a place to belong. I found that place cradled in the eternally-loving arms of Mother Nature.
The following photographs and their accompanying writings resulted in a solo exhibition at Plas Glyn-y-Weddw, which is estimated to have reached a staggering 20,000 people. They are my testament to the love, patience, and care the Great Mother showed me throughout, and an expression of my gratitude, because without this love, I would not be here in this form.
The photographs are printed to gallery-quality standards in the United Kingdom on luxury, fine art paper. Limited editions will be signed, numbered, and made to last a lifetime with love, intention, and presence.
A Heart-Led Mission
Prints with a Purpose
As the Finding Light project has grown, so has my vision of what it might become. I am in the early stages of establishing Finding Light as a social enterprise, a means by which the work of the past eight years can extend beyond a body of photographs.
My intention is to use the proceeds from print sales to fund nature-based creative workshops for children and young people. The social enterprise will be built upon the same practice that brought me back to myself in my mid-twenties and broughy a much-needed sense of healing and catharsis.
This is what Prints with a Purpose means. The photograph on your wall is the physical representation of the work I have been doing in the world. But each print also extends the spirit of the work, quietly funding the next chapter of Finding Light, and the lives of the next generation it intends to touch.
The social enterprise is at its earliest stages, and I will share the story as it unfolds, with honesty about where it stands, and with deep gratitude to those who choose to be among its earliest supporters. You can learn more at findinglight.co.uk

About the Artist
Brad Carr is a blossoming Nature photographer and writer from Wales. The art of photography, for him, is a spiritual practice more than a hobby or profession. His photographs of the sacred Welsh landscape possess tremendous depth and meaning, depicting the sense of a long-lost home that he experiences whilst in the natural world following some tragic and turbulent formative years.
His photography journey began in 2018 during a period of personal reflection and transition. What began as a simple walk to a waterfall with a camera became a transformative experience, one that shaped not only his creative practice but the philosophy that underpins all of his teaching.
Having landed numerous publications in international magazines, appeared on leading podcasts to share his story, and hosted his Finding Light exhibition in a prestigious national Welsh gallery in 2025, which reached an estimated 20,000 people, Brad is establishing himself as a pioneer in the world of self-expressive landscape photography.

Each print is a piece of the Finding Light journey, made to be lived with, and each one supports the wider work of bringing an educational creative practice to children and young people in the years to come.
If a particular photograph speaks to you, I would be honoured to have it on your wall as a continuing piece in the story of Finding Light.
