Transform Your Landscape & Nature Photography and Learn to Make Meaningful Photographs

Wherever you are on your creative journey — picking up a camera for the first time or searching for something deeper in your established practice — there’s a pathway for you here.

Master the Fundamentals of Photography, Refine Your Unique Vision, Learn to Tell Personal Stories, and Create Self-Expressive Art with Your Camera

Perhaps you have just picked up a camera, sensing that photography could become something meaningful; if only you knew where to begin.

Perhaps you freeze the moment someone asks you to take full control of your camera by switching to manual mode.

Or perhaps you have been creating for years, and your images are technically accomplished, but something still feels missing — a deeper purpose, a clearer voice to accompany them.

Wherever you are, the feeling is often the same: a quiet knowing that there is more to discover through the art of landscape photography, and an uncertainty about how to find it. You are not alone.

I Have Walked the Creative Path for Nearly Ten Years

My journey began in 2018 when I picked up a camera and walked into the Welsh landscape with no idea what I was doing. I didn’t know how to use my camera. I didn’t know what I wanted to say with it. And I had no one to guide me through the gap between the two. I learned the hard way — and that journey changed my life completely.

Since then, my Finding Light exhibition at Plas Glyn y Weddw in 2025 was viewed by an estimated 20,000 people. My work has been published internationally in On Landscape, Outdoor Photography, Nature Vision, and International Therapist. I have guided over 150 photographers on transformative journeys through tuition, mentoring, and workshops.

I am the right person to guide you because I remember — clearly and honestly — what it felt like to stand where you are standing now. Everything I teach comes from the landscape itself and from almost a decade of genuinely living and embodying this work.

Through one-to-one tuition, long-term mentoring, intimate group workshops, and immersive retreats, I offer transformative learning experiences that treat the technical and the creative as inseparable — and that meet you wherever you are. What unites every person I work with is not their level of experience, but the sincerity of their intention.

See what other Photographers are Saying:

“Brad’s style of teaching is that of a coach that wants to help you get the best out of your own vision and art. This is not about telling you what to do, it is about asking you to think about why you are taking that particular picture and how you might improve it. This is for those who really want to take their photography to a new level of meaning and thinking. I made me realise that the most important part of the experience is to be out in nature and to try and use my photography to share the benefits of how this makes me feel.’’

One-to-One Landscape Photography Tuition

Half Day • Full Day • Multi-Day Options

Prices From £225

A deeply personal learning experience, shaped entirely around you. Whether you are picking up a camera for the first time or looking to refine the way you see and compose in the field, these sessions combine careful technical instruction with a more thoughtful exploration of what draws your eye and why.

We work together in the mountains, valleys, and ancient woodlands of Eryri (Snowdonia) and Mid Wales — lesser-trodden, deeply atmospheric places that lend themselves naturally to the kind of slow, attentive photography I teach. I usually leave my own camera at home so my entire attention is on you, your images, and your development.

No two sessions are the same. We begin wherever you are — not where I think you should be — and the day unfolds around your questions, your goals, and the landscape’s invitation.

Ideal for: Photographers at any level — from complete beginners seeking confidence with their camera through to experienced practitioners wanting fresh eyes on their creative process.

“Brad had done his homework and put a lot of effort into creating a custom plan that perfectly matched my shooting style and workflow. What impressed me most was his decision to leave his own camera behind, which allowed him to focus entirely on my work — something I hadn’t seen before, and it made a significant difference.”

Intimate Group Workshop Experiences

Half Day • Full Day Immersions

Prices between £85 - £150

There is something uniquely valuable about spending time in the landscape alongside a small group of like-minded photographers. The conversations that emerge, the different ways of seeing the same scene, the quiet encouragement that comes from creating together — these are things that solitary practice, however rewarding, cannot fully replicate.

My group workshops blend careful technical instruction with a more contemplative, mindful approach to being in the landscape. Whether you are learning to use your camera with confidence for the first time, wanting to learn more about my Five Pillars™ philosophy, or deepening an existing practice, the small group size ensures personal attention, and the atmosphere is warm, encouraging, and entirely free of judgment.

Workshops take place across the woodlands, mountains, and lakes of Eryri and Mid Wales — landscapes of extraordinary depth and beauty that have shaped my own creative practice and continue to teach me something new every time I return.

Ideal for: Photographers of all levels who enjoy learning alongside others. Foundations offers a pathway for beginners. Five Pillars™ workshops are for those who wish to dive deeper.

See what other Photographers are Saying:

“I have spent 3 days in total working with Brad, and it has been the most rewarding journey, from the first phone call to our latest workshop. Brad’s commitment to his clients was not bound by time or energy, for it was in abundance. I went with an open mind, heart, and a desire to grow as a photographer, and he has given me the foundations lot move forward with confidence. His energy, passion, enthusiasm, and insightfulness will, if you let it, propel you forward on a journey of self-discovery.’’

Photography Portfolio Review & Artistic Development

60-Minute Online Sessions

Prices from £125

One client called it “great photography therapy.” A portfolio review is a deep, unhurried conversation about your work — one that goes beyond technical critique to explore what your photographs are saying, what draws you to certain subjects, and where your creative instincts are leading you.

Whether you are reviewing your first collection of images and wondering what holds them together, or you are an experienced photographer preparing work for exhibition, publication, or a personal project, these sessions offer the kind of thoughtful, honest feedback that is difficult to find elsewhere. We look at image selection, sequencing, visual language, and the deeper creative themes emerging in your portfolio — and we talk about where it might go next.

Ideal for: Any photographer with a growing body of work who wants honest, thoughtful feedback and strategic creative direction — from those curating their first portfolio through to advanced practitioners preparing for exhibitions or publication.

Transformative Landscape Photography Retreats

Multi-Day Experiences

Some things can only happen when you give yourself the gift of time. These multi-day creative retreats combine mindful photography, reflective conversation, and deep exploration of Wales’ most atmospheric landscapes — ancient woodlands, mountain peaks, and tranquil lakes that reveal themselves slowly and reward patience.

Retreats are designed for photographers who want complete immersion in their creative practice, away from the distractions of daily life. The days are unhurried and the group is small. There is space for extended time in the field, evening reflection, meaningful conversation, and the kind of creative exploration that simply cannot happen in a single session.

Whether you are relatively new to photography and want to immerse yourself in learning, or you are an experienced practitioner seeking creative renewal, these retreats offer something rare — the time and space to be fully present with your camera, the landscape, and yourself.

Ideal for: Photographers of all levels seeking a deeper, more immersive creative experience and profound transformation.

‘‘Brad really helped me understand my camera and its settings better. I have owned my camera for a number of years, but I had never really known how to use it to its full potential. Brad explained really clearly how to change certain aspects of my camera’s settings, which helped me achieve a much better quality of photograph. I now have the confidence to use my camera to take the style of photos that I have always wanted to.’’
