Llyn Dinas and Aberglaslyn Circular Walking Route

£1.95

Enjoy some of Snowdonia’s most breathtaking scenery on this circular walk that will begin at the most tranquil lake in the area and one which might be the eternal home of a certain sword named ‘Excalibur’ before proceeding to guide you along beautiful roads shielded by stone walls at the feet of the Moelwynion mountain range, through a gorge that wouldn’t be out of place in Canada and ending in the famously picturesque little village of Beddgelert, home of the legendary Gelert’s grave.

A fairly long but steady route that will easily be completed in 3-5 hours depending on your walking speed. A camera will be necessary as these are some views unrivalled by any in the area. Expect to see quiet, winding roads lined with old stone walls and mountain backdrops, a picturesque train platform in the village of Nantmor that will have you time travelling back to the 1900’s and one of the most beautiful lakes that Snowdonia has to offer - I would recommend starting your walk at sunrise so you witness this marvellous lake in its’ prime. Oh and I haven’t even mentioned the incredible Aberglaslyn Gorge that wouldn’t look out of place in an episode of Game of Thrones, or lined with snow across the Atlantic in British Columbia.

Lace up your walking boots for this one and pack up those sandwiches because this is a hike that you will not want to miss out on.

About Brad Carr

Brad Carr is a blossoming landscape photographer and Nature writer from Mid Wales. He has been photographing the landscape for seven years, quietly refining his craft and developing his artistic voice and vision in the Severn Valley and mountains of Snowdonia, earning widespread acclaim along his way.

He offers fine art prints, group workshops, private mentoring, and one-to-one tuition, sharing his passion for creativity as a tool for healing and personal development, and teaching others how to create beautiful photographs of the natural world.

Having landed recent publications in international magazines and hosted his foundational exhibition, Finding Light, in a prestigious national gallery, Brad is quickly establishing himself as a figure of authority within the world of landscape photography and Nature writing, and his future as an artist is looking increasingly bright.
