I'm absolutely delighted to announce that I will be delivering a series of presentations to various groups within The Royal Photographic Society later this year!

To have been given this opportunity to work with such a prestigious organisation at this stage of my creative career is an absolute honour, and it fills me with a great deal of pride and excitement for what the future might hold. I can’t wait to share my love and passion for Nature, the art of photography, and the well-being benefits of creativity in general with members of this prestigious organisation.

First up is my current talk, Finding Light:

In ‘Finding Light: A Journey into Nature to Find My Soul’, photographic artist and Nature writer Brad Carr shares his authentic story of transformation through the lens of his camera and interactions with the natural world. The presentation weaves together image and written word as a deeply personal response to Brad’s experiences of both external and internal landscapes. Through his evocative and ethereal photographs and heartfelt writings, he invites the audience into his story — one of healing, transformation, and discovery — offering insight into the restorative power of being in Nature. Described by the artist as ‘self-portraits,’ the photographs represent his emotional state at the time of their creation. They provide a simultaneous view of both the inner and outer world, moving between expansive vistas of wild landscapes and intimate studies of ancient trees and mystical woodland scenes. Both his photographs and writings tell the story of human experience, capturing moments of reflection, solace, and connection with spirit.

Next is a brand-new talk, titled, A Dance Between Thought & Being:

In this powerful and deeply personal presentation, internationally published landscape & Nature photographer and writer Brad Carr reveals how photography and creative writing became his "weapons of choice" in the battle against inner darkness and the destructive patterns he witnessed in his father-figures throughout his younger years. Moving far beyond technical mastery and compositional rules, Brad shares his revolutionary approach to Nature photography as a spiritual practice—one that integrates the feminine art of "being" (intuitive connection with the natural world) with the masculine discipline of "thought" (deep reflection and meaning-making through creative writing & journaling).

Through compelling personal stories, Brad demonstrates how this "dance between thought and being" has transformed not only his artistic work but his entire relationship with himself and the world around him, resulting in him delivering transformative workshops and mentoring programs for fellow creatives. Attendees will discover why so many photographers feel unfulfilled despite technical competence, learn practical techniques for accessing deeper creative states in Nature, and understand how to use creative practice as a pathway to self-discovery, healing, and purpose. This isn't just about taking better photographs—it's about unlocking creativity as a force for personal transformation, reclaiming self-sovereignty, and finding your authentic voice as an artist and human being. Perfect for photographers, creative-thinkers, and anyone seeking a more meaningful relationship with their artistic practice, themselves, and the world around them.

Both of the talks will be open to non-members in exchange for a small admittance fee.
